About the Friends of Lake Griffin State Park

The Friends support Lake Griffin State Park by volunteering our time and talents. We raise money for park projects, and to purchase maintenance and recreational equipment. Fourteen of the Friends serve as park volunteers who lead kayak eco-tours and teach Kayak 101 classes, enabling  park visitors to enjoy the park's wetlands and open water as much as we do. We also help the park with special events, maintenance projects, and programs.
